Easy run this weekend

I went out today and ran the trail, it looks pretty good, here is the loop I'm thinking about running.

My wife and I had a wonderful time, thanks to everyone's help and instruction.

Sidewaysstarion got us aired-down at the beginning of the run, and he, Faultyline, and Lurch got us aired-up again at the end. Faultyliine's Cherokee was also stock, so we followed him to avoid taking on obstacles that would be too big for our stock XJ -- an especially important point because we have no skidplates or other armor anywhere at all.

Like us, Faultyline is a ham and we used our 2-meter rigs to maintain communications. It was really comforting to hear his instructions of what to watch out for and how to take on some of the more "interesting" parts of the trail. My wife, being navigator and communications specialist, really appreciated his concise and friendly pointers.

We got to enjoy the company of many fine people and learn of new places to go and things to do.

Many thanks to Sidewaysstarion, Faultyline, SleeperXJ, Lurch, and the others whose "handles" I neglected to learn.

We had a great time. I took my wife's cousin with me, now he wants to get a Cherokee.

Sounds like a good time.

Everyone stayed on four wheels this time?

Well, FaultyLine and I stayed on at least three -- most of the time we were on four.
