I guess you haven't heard..Even the sex offenders will tell you treatment just doesn't work.
Actually, 'Doctor', ( :D ) my first statement agrees with that. Treatment doesn't work, so incarceration is the only choice that successfully protects the public. For maximum protection, and to prevent more predators from developing, the long term option should be used along with permanent incarceration/monitoring...

The only problem I have with instant casturation or death is the fact that there are cases of getting the wrong man. Thats why I said the hardcore punishment or whatever should be left to the violent multiple offenders or at least the ones who its a slam shut case.
Like I said before though...I just don't think death is a stiff enough punishment for these guys.

A very small portion of sexual predators are able to be rehabbed but it's very small. Chemical castration doesn't work either as the urge is still there along with a fair mount of rage now. Plus there are loads of instances where they perp stops taking his meds cause of how it makes him feel. A disgusting number make it thru prison in what they feel is fairly easy terms. If it is a documented 100% slam dunk conviction, the perp should never see the light of day or possibly draw another breath. Unfortunately there are some who will ensure that never happens. Yes, there are advocates for sexual criminials.

Illinois is thinking about using GPS enabled smart anklets. These would track their movements and send warnings if they venture too close to "no go" zones (schools, child care, etc.). Few problems here. You have to have some faith that the PO will monitor the email on a constant basis. Plenty of web pages explain in simple terms how to remove the things. There is some proof that the restrictions can actually "push" a sexual predator to act again. They can't get a job, some places wont rent to them, etc.

On my mind a lot for a few different reasons. I'm a member of an org that assists abused children and in the same town I live in there are approx. 10 of the f**ks living...two within a few doors of me...same freakin' building. Lots of kids in this building also. One is a big worry as he appears to be furnishing the local kids with cigs and booze. Of course the cops refuse to do anything on just our word. You can watch kids go in empty handed and come out with bags and big grins.

In alot of ways I kind of agree with this, back in the pre-70's there was alot less of this and I think that is mainly because one parent, usually the mom, stayed home and did not have to work for the family to survive. For sure the economic situation has contributed to this and I think it's only going to get worse over the years. I don't know more than a handfull of people who only have one breadwinner, my sister is one and she does one heck of a job on my neice and nephew, constantly keeping them involved in stuff. On the other hand two other relatives are both making 6 and 7 figure incomes, one kid, but they keep him busy too, do several cruises a year, exotic vacations, etc but then again they can afford it and one, 7 figure, works out of their house so he's always there. However the flip side is why should we have to support an individual by incarceration. Alof of these sick people are productive and there should be a method of allowing them to continue in a very strictly controlled environment where there are no kids. As for the ones who kill, where it's a slam dunk conviction, hang em high...

And he's still alive wasting air ? do the kids parents know about this ? anybody done a video tape. Usually if you amass enough evidence and present it to the cops then let the cops and your elected officials know in no uncertain terms that if they don't do something you will turn it over to the local media.

I'm between a rock and a hard place. I got rather in the cops face after he told me they couldn't do anything. They finally "did something". They sat outside the building in a cop car in uniform. [sarcasm on]Gee wonder why nothing happened that day.[sarcasm off] The cops straight out told me if something happens to him, they're coming after me. The org I'm a member of is a biker org and we are listed as a "terrorist org" after 9/11...as are most biker groups now. And I'm listed as a known associate for several of the local clubs due to some of them having rode with us and being in the wrong place at the wrong time once (in a shop buying parts when the FBI, DEA and local boys raided it). I'm on record for throwing my downstairs neighbor when he refused to turn his stereo down and then tried to attack me when I told him to after asking three times politely...at 0200 when the OL has to get up at 0330. My back patch very plainly states who we are and what we do so I sorta sat in front of his apartment door for a day and he has been a real good boy lately. But if it were up to me, he would fall down some steps...repeatedly.

BTW interesting what the local cops seem to have the ability to find out about the law abiding folks. The one I had a clash with pulled me over a few days later for 1 mph over the limit and while putting me face down for a "weapons" search mentioned that I sure didn't look like a Marine with a damn good record and that with my shooting scores I would be the first suspect if he got capped (his words, actually) via a long range rifle shot.

i say just send them to the chair and call it a day.one less person to take up space in are jails and prisons.

Grind them up like meat, stuff them into sausage tubes, and feed them to the homeless.

OTOH I am mildly (and unapologetically) sociopathic.

Or something to that end.

Yup. Thats it.

The unfortunate part is that the dad is all the little girl has left. He does something like that...she has no one.

BUT OTOH...I would hope he wouldn't get convicted by a jury of his peers should that be an option for him.

I'm thinking a .45 cal hollow point would work out just fine. do it Chicago style. a couple here and there....and one in his frontal lobe.

EYE FOR AN EYE. Yeah...this ancient Hebrew stuff still has its place. ;)
