Dual Axle XJ

They even tried to make it more authentic by moving the xxxpedition.com sticker to the roof rack, but the "www" is messed up just like the one on the rocker panel. Coincidence? I think not...

and you can tell that the wheels have been photoshopped black and whats with the sticker on the cargo bay window...looks like a white line

sounds like a pita and waste of cash...

YES and that's why it MUST be done. Just because he wants it.

I'm dreaming of a non or very little lifted dually XJ. With fenders off a dually pickup.
Just one more kid to send to collage and then the dually will be mine.

Poor pics from Rollerball. There are better out there, but I don't have time to look to hard right now.

What would be the purpose of the setup? The only point of a this would be superior weight carrying capacity as far as I can tell. Larger tires/lift would accomplish the superior contact surface area. If ur dying for a 6x6 check out the article on JP magazine about the Military Surplus jeep M35A2 that you can buy. It would be a lot cheaper and better in the end.

This is silly.

If you have to ask how to do it you have no business thinking about it.

This can't be for real.

Ill agree its a silly question, but thats a bulllshit comment. Most people arent born with all the knowledge required for everything they will do or have ever done. You have to learn it somehow.

the build up of the yellow TJ was on Pirate a few years back. he had a joystick to control the rear steer on both of those axles. it is sick.

why does that dual tire XJ have the boggers in the front? everyone else does the opposite.

If your talking the rollerball jeep, I think those are Baja Claws. But without a better pic...

Properly done it would make a nice mud rig Im thinking, but other than that...

Hmm halftrack comes to mind...

you can do it, they make a gearover box for the purpose which eliminates the need for duel driveshfts from the transfercase

It works with a 14 bolt or a 9"
1 Ton Gear-over box axles for a 1 to 2 ton hauling applications. These axles have matching brake systems to whatever 1 ton axles you have now. They are available for most any gear ratio and are rated at 800HP for maximum durability. All gearbox parts are common and easily replaceable. The gearbox is manufactured to replace the Corp 14 Bolt OR 9 inch Ford pinion flange for a strong mount and worry free installation. The Gear-over box also gives you 6 inches higher driveshaft angle for a smooth driveshaft operation. With the forward gear-over box this also gives you a long driveshaft to the #3 axle for Smooth high speed articulation with no driveshaft bind. In comparison to a through pinion axle you have 13 more inches of driveshaft length with the Gear-over box for better driveshaft angles and more axle articulation

i wasn't talking about the rollerball jeep, that's why i said dual tire and not dual axle. and there are very few situatuions where you want to run boggers in the front, so why not just run a SX in the front.
