Dr Z shackle relo brackets

Speaking solely from personal experience as a customer of his, I highly recommend his products. I bought the suzuki samurai yj conversion kit for my own rig and a few other things. They are very well made. He's an active member of the offroad community on fb also. So, I can't speak for the shackle relocation brackets specifically, 'cause I haven't bought them personally, but if the stuff I bought is any indication, I'm sure they're good.

Full disclosure: I later went on to design his website over the past few weeks, which is now live. I didn't ask for or receive any compensation for that, nor for this post. I just did it for the community 'cause I really believe he has great thing going.

I don't trust relocation bracket that doesn't tie into the nut strip. My buddy came down hard on his RC bracket and it folded the shackle box into the unibody rail, tearing it away from the floor.

This.

It just looks like fancier Rough Country version.

I use them. They are well built. I had two fit issues. First, the width will interfere with some trailer hitches. I had to shave my hitch rails. A more unusual problem is that their height interfere d with bolts securing my cage. So I had to shave the brackets on top. They could very easily redesign to solve the hitch problem.

Nutstrip brace is the key, esp if you can't bolt into the floor above or the existing shackle bolt hole. Best option is to link the rear and get rid of the leaves, IMO. Only costs a little more than a relocation bracket, right? :gag:

HD Offroad are awesome paper weights. My shackle bolts can come out due to broken off nut. Ive been too lazy to take off my bumper. Also JCR nut strips might be stripped.

Since qe arw on the subject, do they go over the hitch or before the hitch?

I run these on my old junker.
They are heavy, and are a one piece design.
They do what they are designed to do.
They indeed are lacking in the design department.

I like the iron man fab regular brackets.
Or, even if you don't have a cage, the HD offroad o lift brackets with a length of tubing connecting the interior plates together would be a good idear IMO.
