Doorknob The MJ

looks nice!

Thanks Andy!

Does the bed unbolt and are you able to put a stock bed back on?

Yeah it unbolts in 4 places. the rear mounts are tacked to the frame in a couple spots. I had originally wanted to convert it back to a stock bed, but the flatbed grew on me. it would be a snap to convert it back to a stock bed. the rear of the frame has slight modifications to it for the tail lights and rear hitch location, but I don't think that should effect anything for bed installation.

I was just contacted by the original builder of the MJ. he said the front axle has inner/outer cromo's in it, and that the SYE is a Currie HD unit. The MJ is a 91 Eliminator, it came with the Auto shifter on the floor from the factory, it had A/C, Cruise, And Tilt. all from the factory. He told me (I believe him at this point) that this MJ had a very LOW production number for the year. it was very cool to talk with the guy who built this thing back in the day. :D

And P.S.:

Huge thanks goes out to John for being patient with me and waiting for the deal to come together and not selling it out from under me. He is a super cool dude that hooked up a fellow jeeper. Thanks again man.
