Door fitment

Will a door from a 96 cherokee 4 door fit on a 98 four door. Thanks in advance

I know there is a difference in doors where the door latch is . I just don't know what year the they changed .

Long answer: yes, with some modifications
Short answer: It's not something I would purposely struggle to do.

I bought a used drivers door that the owner assured me would fit. He said from 93-98 would fit. Everything fits except the middle of the door on the hinge side sticks out about 3/4 of an inch. It gradually starts to stick out from the top of the trim to the pin stripe. Any suggestions?
