i have what i belive a 73 mg motor but not sure and don't know how to be sure. i can take pics but need to know what pic will help id the motor.

does it have a casting number on the block? im thinking google might help you.

Good luck. Im not sure lucas changed much on those little 4 cyls. I had a 73 MGB. That year motor can be identified by it being troublesome, lacking any real power, and small.
fun little cars though.

Midget or MG B?

Sorry, they prefer to be referred to a "Little Engines".

I think the B had a 1800 cc or thereabout engine and the Midget was about 1300 cc.
