Holding a Colorado Chapter event at Avalanche Ranch has been brought up a couple of times at our meetings, but nothing has been decided on it other than it would be a fun event.
I'd like to start this thread to gauge interest and get ideas and opinions on when to hold it, how long the event should be, and so on.

My initial thoughts were to hold this in June or July when the weather in Durango is more suitable to the camping resources available in the area. Much earlier and it would be colder and wetter.
Avalanche Ranch is in Durango so the distance from Denver makes an event at the Ranch similar to heading to Moab - the ranch is 380 mi. and Moab is 390 mi.
I was thinking a 4 day event Thursday thru Sunday.
I'd like to get an idea of how many would attend such an event.
