did east vs west concept die?

Grant's bringing the rigs, and we'll do it Thursday morning. It should be a fun activity to come out and watch. We don't know yet where it will be held, hopefully someplece where we can get in a little wheeling afterwards, before heading back to town for the show and shine.

G, no spare seats. I believe you buy seat time. This is a driver's competition as far as I know. I can't wait to woop up on some of them folks from the wrong coast :D

Well if we're gona start talking crap let's do it!

First, you two don't even realize you're not on a coast. There must be an ocean close by you to be by one. So first get a map and get back in class.

Second, you two won't even have jeeps ready for this comp. And if you have some type of incomplete project this year I won't be allowed to weld on compettitors rigs. :D

Third, you need to have some seat time in those things if you plan on knowing how to use them. Sitting in the seat down in the corner of the dungon doesn't count as seat time.

Fourth, everyone already knows we're going to kick your butts.

:D

PS Sequoia, you first need a rig to compete in before you can have fun!

(Just for FYI, those two refer to Beezil and OneTon)

That sun has cooked your brain Mr. Dinkley. The competition is setup with 2 identical jeeps. Wrong coasters

You know you'd get schooled if it was one of our rigs against yours :firedevil

A little birdy said something about the stiff cricket wrong coast style!!

Actually I heard it was a no go because those east guys couldn't find enough good drivers. :explosion
:D :D

The South??!!

Heh, how about us guys from south of the Mason-Dixon line? After all, most of the NASCAR guys live in Dixie Land even if they weren't all born here. We KNOW how to drive "shine" fast.
This series needs to be the Westerners vs. the Damn Yankees vs. the Southerners (Crackers? :D ).
The "South shall rise again"!
Unlike you guys....WE don't have electricity problems!

:woohoo:

Like most other things around here I not up on all the details. Who's jeeps, can we use Remi and Sequoia's, now that could be a real driving challange, expecially if it has anything to do with directions. :D

Anyhow that stiff cricket thing won't be as bad as Beezil's last year.

How did I get dragged into this????

Mark has it right . . . .

First, you two don't even realize you're not on a coast.

. . . . unless you try to imagine the Indiana Dunes or Sandusky Point as a coastline.

With a vague nod to the Gulf, the only other coast worth talking about is not part of this trash-talkin extravaganza.

Seems more like a West Coast - Middle of the Road grudge match.

We here in the real East (who also seem to be dropping like flies of late :( ) can, of course, act as impartial and sophisticated referrees.

As the Captain says . . . "Bring it On!!!!" :D

Mike in NJ :patriot:

Mike, you're one of the better drivers on the right coast. You best not be talkin' in that referee tone. Down with the wrong coast :wave1:

Hmmm I thought it was E & W of the rockies, not a 'coast' thing, and was brought up since the CO folks bailed on the run through their own back yard...

And I don't see any of them posting here either...I bet Grant is real busy "specially prepping" that West Jeep. Or is it IROC format, where y'all flip a coin for who gets what.

If no one else dares, I'll take a turn in the East Jeep. If'n I don't kill it, I got a shot at the trophy :D

:dunce:
Mike's the one who rear ended his own buddy once in the mud!

How can I forget that one Danno, I have to look at my distinctive hood every day! :D

BUT, haven't we already established that there is NO MUD in Moab in October? :confused1 (But, I'm thinking of a river ford addition for the TOW run)

Woody's right though - this was originally a Continental Divide thing, not a seashore thing!

My money's on One-Ton ...... any covers????

Ding ding ding, you are correct! :D

Well between Mike & One Ton, they've had lots more stick time in the CO backcountry than many of the CO folks do, and technically, NJ and OH have "coasts" (OH has a lake with flammable fish) so either one would qualify if it were a 'coast' thing IMHO.

Mike may have the edge by continually wheeling lightly modded or stock XJs...and not totally heeping them out.

One Ton OTOH it's been a long time since his rig was stock, so he may not know how to act. I've tried to teach him to be tender, but he's a slow learner ;)

I dunno who the west is bringing to the ring, but whatever turns up Thursday ought to be fun to watch :)
