The repair did work.
I got the hood release cable...but hey wouldn't you know it, the bolts on mine are all stripped down and i cannot get the old hood release off >.<
Sooooooooooo after that is done then maybe I'll have a working jeep again!!!
Any suggestions on getting those bolts out would be helpful!!!! hehehe

Which is stripped? Bolt head, bolt threads or nutsert threads ?
IF the bolt head is stripped; then grab the head with one of stripped bolt removal tools or a pair of vice grips. IF it is the threads on the bolt or nutsert, then you will need to cut the bolt head off, drill out the old bolt and chase the threads with a tap. Either way you will need to locate a couple new bolts.
