I have an 89 Cherokee with 31's. Full skids and hooks and hitch.
I will be going to Deer Creek/Deer Canyon trail tomorrow (Saturday, 7-29). The trailhead is in near Lower Blue lakes, which is located 12 miles south of highway 88. The road to get there is about 3 miles west of the junction of 88 and 89 (CA).
Anyways, my friend totally flaked on me and it pissed me off but now I am solo. I would like to go with some people of similar capability. I will be camping behind upper blue lake. My cherokee is Maroon and my Dad's truck, which is too big for this trail, is a white f-250. We won't be leaving too early, so if you show up before 10 we'll still be there.
The trail seems to be pretty cool. Rated 6 out of 10, apparently stock vehicles can do it, but it is probably best suited for someone like me, sorta modified but not really.
I think it will be fun, 7 miles long, about 3 hours. My cell phone number is 530-400-0179, but probably no reception. Hope to see someone there.
