Deciding what to do with my time and $$$$...

I ended up getting a dualsport motorcycle and it was a great investment, in a little over a year the bike payed for itself in gas savings. I have put over 4,000 miles on it and have only had to change the oil and tires, kind of surprised me for a dirtbike. They are still dangerous like any motorcycle but geared correctly they only do about 100mph. I also feel that the stance you have on a dirtbike "you sit up high" really helps you see the road really good and keep an eye on what people are doing around you. If your commute is not to far they are not that bad, plus you have the bennifit of another offroad toy! Also, riding a motorcycle in the rain is miserable so if you go that route don't expect to ride it in crappy weather. All my friends I ride with have since sold their street bikes, and harleys to buy dualsport bikes and all of them are glad they did! Look for a KTM 525, awesome dual sport! Mine is a WR 426.

Rode the scooter with a Ninja 650R and a ZX-6R today...that was interesting.

To those of you curious, I'm now commuting to school/work on my parents scooter and plan to be rocking that for a little while till I either find a small CC motorcycle my parents will allow me to have (they said they'd kick me out if I get a sport bike right now) or I'll rebuild an older motorcycle. I have my motorcycle permit, and will be getting fully endorsed soon. In the mean time I'll be trying to attend some track races and do various rides that are scooter friendly with people.

You mean move out and pay rent and such things. :dunno:

And find a way to pay for school/food/car insurance/etc....no thanks. I'd rather live by my parents rules for a few more years.
