Lyle's not bad lookin' for a ginger. He may have a future as a 4x4 model.

Nick has a point. In one thread Scott's saying he's too broke to wheel, in another he's saying he's ready to spent $3K on a frickin' motorcycle.

Which is it?

Not looking to buy anything right now. Just thinking about the short-term future.
I never said I was ready to jump the gun on anything, hints the thread.

I like to talk about what I want to do, then when it comes down to it decide from there. I was bored, figured I'd see what people think about what's been on my mind lately. I received lots of great feedback, which is exactly what I was looking for...problem is I think many are taking what is being said on the interwebz to seriously. That is, people become concerned about HOW I'm spending my money. Here's my take, I never plan to purchase what I can't pay for and I don't live beyond my means (IMO). If I can't afford it, I either wait or I don't buy it. Yes, my savings now is minimum (yes I have SOME, but I don't consider much of it) but quite frankly I don't think that's anyones business. I make enough to do what I find entertaining and what I enjoy and that's the only reason why I'm working (well ok, not the ONLY reason...but you get the point), and I'm 100% confident my job isn't going anywhere in the next year (unless of course some drastic change occurs in the market, in which case I won't be the only one in trouble and I have plenty I can change in my life to make up for that loss). With that said, relax guys, this is just talk...it is a forum after all. Heck, the main reason I didn't further pursue attending a University right away was so I could work and make some money to get my toys before I have to start saving (I figure the last 2 years of college I should start putting money aside).

Bus pass. You'll save alot of money that way.

Go for a motorcycle. You'll be b!tching about it shortly. :)

Is this kinda like the "you live, you learn" attitude? Either way, that's a good attitude I think. Let people do what they want.

Matt - Damn right I do!

Alex - Hats and flags are ready for production, and the shirt prototype(s) will be in tomorrow...I think. :D

Nick, Eli, and Doug - Thanks! :smsoap:

That, or the "We told you so" attitude.

;)

Hah well at least you're positive about it. :lecture:
I'm trying to get the Honda back home so I can try out commuting on it.

Alright Scott, just buy the bike then. Sounds like you've made up your mind, which is fine. Bikes can be a lot of fun, many of us had them and enjoyed a lot of aspects of motorcycling.

Lyle, I'll bring an extra pair of sweatpants to NWFest for you. We'll figure out who's "pitching a tent" and where when we get there.

So, we'll be pitching tents in the back of your rig then?

Sweeeeeet.

I can see it now, waking up in the morning and climbing out of the dodge and seeing Lyle crying with his face buried in his hands, ashamed of what he had just done.
