D30 Limited slip

I have just about decided to go with an Aussie locker in my D35 and a limited slip in the front. My question is who makes limited slips for the front D30? I found the True Trac but wow that expensive! For the price of that I can go with two lockers, but i'm not sure that is what I want.

Yep they are expensive...they are also very smooth (basically invisible ) and fairly strong...mine lived under my MJ up trails like Tellico #11 with 33x12.5" repeatedly. Never any hint of problems.

FWIW I have a lockright powertrax (cheap lunchbox locker) in the front of my non-disco XJ and it is invisible on the road in 2 hi...no clicks, pops, pulls, or other wierdness.

If you plan to do a fair bit of off-roading (especially in slippery conditions) a locker at both ends will have you grinnin like a possum. There was a time that I didn't think it mattered a lot...that outlook has changed.

I'd be fearful for that D35 though...especially locked, but thats food for another thread. ;)

vote #2 for the lockright, not exactly disposable but cheap enough and u can install in the parking lot. I run one in my 30 with 4.56 and its not there in 2wd unless you really turn some tight figure 8's.
