Converting a JK Dana 44 to run 5x4.5......

My question is that will the 15" rim clear the caliper? Im not sure if it does or not.

imo i would take the hubs you have now and take them to the machine shop then go to the jy and find some decent hubs and try it out yourself and if they work out keep them as spares.

The wheels I will be using are 16":

They should clear just fine, JK's come with a 16" steel wheel, I know 15" wheels can be an issue on KJ, and the silverstars clear fine on KJs as well.

I don't want to run some 15" steel wheels. I am running the silverstars, from that my axle choice is determined. Bassackwards for most of you, but thats the way I want it.

Not to sound critical .. but shouldnt your axle of choice .. you know.. have the right bolt pattern then?

You chose an axle you want, and you chose wheels you want. They had nothing to do with each other, or your axle of choice would be something different.

Find some TJ Rubicon guy who wants that axle, and trade with him.

Ya well I am going about this differently, I am very particular about the wheels I am using which complicates things greatly.

I agree that for most people what I have planned (which is a 8.8 with 4.10s and LSD for the rear) rear spacers and then JK moabs would be a great choice.

I just stumbled onto this axle so its kinda like if I can make it work great, if not, resell for profit.
