Come freeze with me!

I'm not going for sure, as a matter of fact more like 50/50. It's gonna depend on work.

I wouldn't be staying in the cabin anyway since I live in Prather. I'd sure like to go on the run and meet you guys though.

Cool Doug, I hope you can make it.

Just watched the local news and they are calling for blizzards and "several feet of snow".

Opie, Scrappy and I went up last Saturday and a had a good time, with this much snow in the forcast we will surely have a very good time. I'm stoked.

Oh yeah and bump.

If we have 20 people come the cost of the cabin per person should be around $35 total for both nights. I will post up vehicle and safety requirements later.

Hollister Mark is sounding positive, but thinks he'll get his own hotel room.
Saulo sounds positive, and is planning on bribing someone with a bed.. or cuddling up with hollister mark at his hotel :smootch:

Sorry Mark, I must not have completed my post this morning. I went up to Bald yesterday and there was a decent amount of snow on the ground, 4-5 feet. I plan on taking the cabin around 4pm and start digging out some parking spaces. There will not be enough parking for all the rigs, especially the tow rigs. We can park across 168 at Bobs Bait and it is just a short walk (500 feet) back to the cabin. The amount of snow on the ground has made the streets one way with little parking. Bring your own towels. There are beds for 12, and a few couches. I am bringing an air mattress to sleep on, bring bedding, if you are not sleeping in a bed. We are really close to amenities, so food and gas should not be an issue.

Willis Retreat Cabin

Shaver Lake, CA 93664

I would print a copy of the map found on the link below, as finding the cabin in that nest of cabins can be confusing.

Here is a link to the cabin:

The weather is going to be nice according to TWC:

We should try to reach the trailhead no later than 9am, CB channel 4. Those of us that are staying at the cabin should start trickling to the trail head around 730ish.
If you can bring shovels and or a wooden plank, that would be great. Dress warm and DON’T FORGET YOUR SNOW CHAINS!

If you are planning not to stay in the cabin and want to meet us at the trail here are the directions
Drive up HWY 168 and turn right onto Dinky Creek Rd, just before you enter the town of Shaver Lake. Travel down Dinky Creek Rd. for about 13 miles. Here is the GPS coordinates for the trailhead:
37° 05’ 34.75” N
119° 14’ 06.56” W

I expect Andre to leave no later than 1am to be there in time to sleep :D. See you all in a few days!

Those arcade games are the reason I got that cabin.
Something tells me the run is not going to start early.
