So, have you guys pooled your resources to send a single member out?

Led, I hope your junk is ready to go on the trailer, 4 days to kickoff!

Well I drove it yesterday for the first time in 2 months I don't know about ready but its goin anyway. It did get up to 70mph on the hwy that was a surprise. I haven't even put a steering stabilizer on it. must have sumthin right. we are leavin Friday afternoon see you there.

Ok, I'm sending up a little trial balloon here. Since only Led has anything to talk about with this years BOTW, and we don't count him in all this CO bashing since he's been there before, let's go on to next years BOTW.

IF (big IF) we come to CO next year, and spend a few days in Montrose, go to BV and run Carnage, then either go to Penrose or Avalanche Ranch, who of you CO guys would spend the week with us? Now, think before you answer because talk is cheap, and if you post here I'm going to write your name down as a possible participant. :D

Of course, I guess it's always possible that all the hard-core guys sell their XJ's and move on to something else. :looser:

BTW, the PNW guys are trying to get us to come up there, too.

If you crackers come to CO I'll host a BBQ/Cook-out/Drink-fest while in Buena Vista. My folks live 15 min. from Carnage Gultch. I may drive like sh!t, but my cooking and drinking skillz are second to none. :)

Oh yeah, I'll be in for the entire trip. My rig WILL be ready.

I'll be there, wont be quite ready for carnage, but im a good watcher. :D

same time of year? are we talkin' feb/march?

put my name on your list... my XJ will be paid off by then! :D

other than local day trips, this year i'm running moab at EJS, then CO FEST in the fall;
next year i'll plan for BOTW and then the moab Fall Fling (had a great time at the "anniversary" bash).

you know you guys are welcome to come out in august and join us for CO FEST too...
maybe the colorado license plates will even outnumber the out-of-staters. ;)

Richard, 2 words. LOST Cause unless we were taking our keyboards with us.

Come on you guys, lets go wheeling. Save us from those PNW weirdo types. All they got is that wet sticky mud & tree roots.

Matt

If we go PNW next year, I'm going to have to acquire a serious weed and coffee habit. Also, wifey may have to grow some body hair.

You think the Bay Area is weird, you ought to try Washington state.

Please invite us out for a good time, CO crew.....

Well, I'll certainly look at it when the time gets near - can't make those kinds of long term plans in my line of work, but I wanna attend. Especially if Jes is willing to try to get a group for "Road 21" again!

I was certainly hoping to attend BOTW this time - but sometimes, rank doesn't have it's privileges.....

Glad to see that at least Led is gonna make it!

I'll show up. I might not drive, but I can take pics and help with strapping or whatever.

It would be later in the year, maybe May like we did the last time. Sort of depends on whether we go to Avalanche Ranch and have to drive over the San Juans. Of course, I guess it could be a problem driving from Montrose to BV if a storm hits, you guys will have to tell us what is a good time. Another thought is to catch the last weekend of EJS and then go to Montrose. Only problem with EJS is that this is supposed to be a wheeling vacation, and Safari is just a show....no way we'd want to wheel there on the last Sat.

I'll be at the Fall Fling this year, don't know about next year. I'd still like a trip to CO to do the trails in the San Juans sometime, so one of these summers I'll have to join you guys again.

If we're near Grand Junction I want to run that new trail, Billings Canyon. Sounds fun from what I've heard. Anyone here run that one yet?

I drove a YJ through it last year. It's a super fun trail. I'll be taking the XJ there this year.

You can put me down on your "official" list of people to consider for next year's BOTW.
