Colorado B/S Thread

Re: The Colorado BS thread

20?! I have a problem in an area about 20' by 30'. I don't know much about these things. Is it likely there's several?

So the mound is not an ending point correct but likely just where it spit the dirt while digging the tunnel?

Supposedly there is one per acre... I own 5 acres so I dispute that theory. The mounds are generally the end of a tunnel. Dig gently and you'll find which way they go. Check the traps at least daily, and if you see a new mound, set a trap there.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

You can tell where the tunnel is by the shape of the mound. It is so easy a 10-year-old can eradicate these little vermin.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

We used to use a propane weed burner and flood the tunnel with gas and air. We would then light it off. You can get a pretty good boom. Presto, no pests.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Lol - that has a fun factor!

I have a friend out in Falcon, just south of the forest, and he has Voles, the damn things killed all the trees he planted. He too used the propane method, he filled all the holes he could find then flooded the tunnels with propane.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Dates? COfest will be in Ouray, more than likely the last week in July. If you are looking to go camping now, the majority of trails are closed.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Yeah - those Legacy "restorations" are the bomb... They'll make you a crew cab for a buck twenty. :eyes:

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Well front body of jeep is a little banged up. Had a few deer roll the dice on my way to work tonight and sadly they were the better choice than the ditch.
