Re: The Colorado BS thread
pinion size is it
pinion size is it
30's. Xj/tj vs jk. Aside from the different gearing options and width. Is there a specific gain to justify the value?
Grin I know you ran one in the wj right?
Pinion is larger, outer shafts are 32 spline - some housing issues on JK's so a truss is in order around 35" of tire. They are significantly wider, near 64". Not sure it's worth the effort in an XJ...

Plan on cruising moderate. But 35's for sure. I'd just like to be overbuilt for once.
Plan is to truss regardless.
And ditch the 8.25 regardless.
Aha^^^^^
Well as much as I was looking to start acquiring parts, ill have to wait a bit as I jut got home to find my damn bike missing.

I don't do remans anymore. I simply could not get seals that were any good.
What ever you do, don't get a reman from Autozone. I couldn't get cores so I bought three from AZ. I tore them down to machine the ports and found that none had the right number of balls or the right size balls. None had the bearings replaced. IIRC, they were from Cardone.
About the only place I can personally recommend is West Texas Offroad.
