Colorado B/S Thread

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Too bad it can't tow a Jeep and trailer I would sell the Ram and buy the Jeep ,but my trail rig costs more cash per month lately in upgrade parts than the monthly note on one of these ,so unless she can tow 8,000k lbs I need to keep the Dodge ...lol

Re: The Colorado BS thread

$65,000 can build you a hell of a better SUV. One that can also manage a dirt road, not to mention 1" of snow.

Just saying.

I envision a rig that looks like a home made rig not a sweet looking sports suv that in daily life looks like it's worth 65k ....just saying ...lol

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Exactly. Plus I've heard the srt dont do too bad in the snow and such. I'm not looking for a camping rig. I'll buy a beater for that. I just want it. Mid life crisis or some shit.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Well, one less XJ in the herd today. My black '98 XJ drove away with a new owner.

A guy was looking for a vehicle for his daughter (daughter is paying for it 100%, and doesn't even have a driver's license yet). I did a LOT of work to it, and got a good amount for it :D

One of those hard to come by '97+ 5-Speeds.

Now to focus on the "new" XJ and the buggy for COFest :D

I've heard those SRT-8 Grands open up on the street ...lol...they sound pretty damn mean , and it's ok to want toys that's what makes working fun .

Not with a 100K mile power train warranty......

And if anybody is able to buy a new hell cat Grand for $65K .....They will have gotten a massive bargain. Our '12 SRT8 Grand was $68K. I'd imagine the hell cat grand will be $80K+

Oh and I've thrashed ours on dirt roads (super impressed) and my wife drives it daily in all snow conditions. With snow tread, it does very well....... thank you very much......

:moon:

I can't believe I'm the "grown up" here lol. Or maybe I just can't fathom spending more on a toy payment than my mortgage. I guess it's a non issue for all you 1%ers

Re: The Colorado BS thread

That's the thing.....our SRT8 Grand isn't a toy. Its our transportation. Doesn't even get a space in the garage. We bought it to drive it. We plan to use up ALL of that damn depreciation....:D

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Right. If you see how I drive my titan the srt would make perfect sense. I spend about 70% of my day behind a wheel. I'd like to enjoy the shit out of it when in my own.

Maybe I should have been more clear. I think the SRT8 is a badass (personally would love to own one). However, I think spending the extra cash on the hellcat would be spending an additional ~$20,000 for 200 useless HP especially considering it sounds like it'll be RWD. It's like they're trying to appeal the hellcat to people who only think in terms of numbers. 700 must be better than 500 right?

This is of course all just my opinion and I could truly care less what you guys spend your hard earned $ on. However, having personally had 550hp in a 1900lb car, I can definitely say I prefer less power. I ended up detuning the car to 300hp which ended up being 1000x more fun. FWD, RWD, or AWD does not matter; at a certain point, power is just useless without slicks. Ask yourself: If the traction control of the hellcat limits the 700hp to 500hp even at highway speeds to control wheel speed...whats the point? You just spent $20,000 for a hellcat badge.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Life and toys don't need to be practical.

It's not like Yella is living in a run down trailer with $200,000 of toys in the yard.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Most of y'all know what I have in my xj. If I were to sell it would anyone in the chapter be interested in it? I'm not sure if I'm serious about it... yet.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Depends. We also know what other members have and yet we think they want too much. While others offer good deals. Which guy are you.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

So, we got pulled over in Nebraska. The cop was not a dick, just thought our paper plate looked suspicious:
First, Nebraska issues temps for 30 days. Our 45 days extends into July.
Second, Nebraska uses numbers only for the month. Ours says "July", and it is spelled right.

OK, the part about the spelling is B.S. :D We did have a pleasant stay.
