Last time we were "stuck" in a drive through, I pointed to the pile of rocks they had in the median, told my wife her car would fit between the light pole and the bush. She didn't dare me to do it, but the thought did calm her down a bit.

I have two local ones and I have said each time that it is the best BLT I have ever had. The best Jimmy Johns is in Laramie next to the university, best bread ever for some reason. I cant wait to be there next year!

The JJ shop near me is great. The one in golden near the jail is the best. Had some bad ones though too.

Just lost a hard drive in my computer with all of my pictures taken in the last 6 years, including my son's entire life. Backup was bad too. Can't decide if I'm pissed or depressed.

Dude, get a Foreman grill. You can make grill cheese and quesadilla's on those. A rice cooker is also great, you can have it setup to just keep you stocked up on warm cooked rice. Throw a chicken breast on the foreman and a few minutes later you're eating deliciousness. A bit of butter and sugar added to the rice and now you've got desert.

Put the hard drive in the freezer for 24 hours. Put it back in your computer and boot it up. This should give you some time to remove your pics before the drive heats up and fails again. Use this process over again until you recover all your data, or until this process stops working. Good luck. There are companies out there that recover data off failed drives, but they tend to be expensive.

Thanks, I was going to try that today. It's a secondary drive so thankfully it doesn't goof up my running computer, but I still need the data off of it. I work in IT so you'd think I know better, but when I'm done working on computers all day I don't want to screw with mine at home. Yeah, recovery by another provider is like $1k - $3k.

I have read this before, but that author said to put the H.D. in a zip lock bag while it was in the freezer???

Been there, done that. I was both. I finally was able to extract the files. There used to be a place in Lewisville that could help.
