I can build a Ford Explorer 8.8 rear axle to fit in your TJ. These axles are far superior to the Dana 35 or Dana 44. You get larger axle tubes, disc brakes, 31 spline axle shafts, and 5x4.5 bolt pattern (same as stock).
The axle is slightly narrower by 1.25 inches total. You only lose 5/8" on each side. I use heavy duty 3/16s and 1/4" brackets. If you want peace of mind on the trail that you won't have to spend hours trying to fix a broken axle shaft or sheared off ring gear teeth, then this is the upgrade for you. I ran one under my TJ. 35s with a spool and I have no issues. Axle comes unpainted and diff cover is not included. I have parts in stock right now so turn around is quick right now.
Pricing listed below:
3.08, 3.73, 4.10 $725 add $50 for limited slip carrier.
4.56 or 4.88 $925 add $50 for limited slip carrier.
If you want new bearings add $150
If you would like a locker installed $50 bucks at the time of set up. Prices subject to change if installed at a later date.
I can install the axle for you. $225 includes ebrake cables, brake lines plumbed, and drive shaft yoke.

This guy is a HACK!! He will do the job, install whatever you ask for then when something goes wrong he will blame something else. He is a backyard mechanic at best, no schooling, no knowledge and no idea of what he is doing. You can have him do the job but, DO NOT expect him to cover anything when it goes wrong, even if it is his fault. His work will cause other failures in your vehicle that he will say is YOUR fault, not his or his work!!! BEWARE OF THIS GUY.... I know people at the places that he shops and they agree that he is not good at what he does and can't do anything properly, in other words, a HACK!!!
