Colorado B/S Thread

Re: The Colorado BS thread

ok cool man will do. we normally have a ton of weapons and ammo to shoot so you can try out some full auto stuff and some vintage stuff also. We have a 1940's tommy gun with a drum magazine and a WW2 BAR and some other goodies.

Jeepdude, you're my new best buddy lol.

Yes, like that. Seen too many areas left trashed so it's nice to know you guys picked up after yourselves. Good job!!

To many shooters giving the rest of us a bad name. Ever seen the now closed Rampart Range shooting area? Not surprised that it got closed down.

I agree completely. I hate going to campsites where it looks like there was a fawkin firefight or something.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

my 6-year-old has become a brass hound at camp -- he picked up a FREEZER BAG of brass and actual bullets (in varying condition) over two days last month. Unfortunately, no matter where we camp, there is never a shortage of other peoples spent casings for him to gather. Asshats.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

That's something that really annoys me. I mean it's one thing to leave your trash around (spent casings, shells, etc) but people leaving live rounds laying around... its just stupid. And I know it's easy to do... I picked up a handful of unspents yesterday from the automatic shotgun and one of the rifles that kept jamming, and then we shot em out of the others. It's a waste and can be dangerous to leave them.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I didn't warm up the engine before hand so he could see what a cold start was like and all, and explained this to him. Well, he made a huge deal over the cranking thing (diesels don't like to start cold as they run off pressure and heat, not spark, so they have little electric stove things called glow plugs to heat up the fuel and cyls on a cold start).
Then we went for a test drive. First thing he said as we sat in it running is that it shakes a lot, and therefore it must have a bad injector. I told him 7.3s are big engines and they shake a bit more than the little Legacy he pulled up in, and that the V8 in my truck shakes back and forth (as opposed to up and down like the I6 in his CTD) so it'll feel different, and that if it were a bad injector it would be running rough and throwing a code since the fuel delivery is computer controlled. But he insisted it was an injector.

It's summer, it should fire right up every time. Don't expect a code for a bad injector either. Sounds like he's right and your truck needs some work. :)

Re: The Colorado BS thread

well after having complained about a bad motor mount and neglecting it since, i won the Brown Dog motor mounts.

You could say they look a bit better than the factory ones lol

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Nice Mike!

Kinda older news (from January) but thought this worth sharing...
http://www.valleycentral.com/news/story.aspx?id=402271
"Mexican nationals" armed with handguns broke into a home with a mom and her 11 year old son... kid was hit in the leg, shot back with his .22 and hit one of the robbers in the neck. Report says the wound may have been fatal, but I couldn't find anything further on whether or not the robber survived... kinda hope he didn't.

What part of "Shall not be infringed" don't they get. If gun ownership and carry becomes illegal, then the only people left with guns are criminals. I don't care whether or not the Obamunists overturn the 2nd... my home and family WILL be protected.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Haven't been around for a while...

I was in Arizona on an Native American reservation for the Navajo Nation with 30 Jr. High kids. CRAZY week let me tell you. Painting houses and running a camp for kids really takes it out of you. BUT I drove our Churches van (Ford with v10) and the trailer all week, that was interesting, pretty much the first time i'm driven a trailer for more then 10 miles.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Someone needs a severe beating. Do this to a run of the mill Challenger - forgiveable, but a rare 440/6pack RT/SE?!?!?! Shame on 'em. :nono:
