Colorado B/S Thread

Re: The Colorado BS thread

anyone else ever notice how films for small children have adult jokes in them? i.e. toystory commercial?

Re: The Colorado BS thread

So Pull-n-Save in Aurora is 1/2 price this weekend. Checked it out this afternoon, the XJ's have been pretty picked over but there were several Grands there if someone is looking to pick up the parts to do a rear disc swap.

Of the XJ's, one '99 that was hit hard enough in the front left to break the Dana 30 housing, and everything else was 96 and earlier. 2 MJ's :( one short, one long. No Dana 44's.

Happy hunting

With the wife being down with the flu, I decided to switch gears on house projects and get as far away from that virus as I could....

I made out pretty good, snagged a few MJ parts, picked up some seats for Flores......... and someone left a perfectly good AX15/231 just laying on the ground under that '99 - I didn't have to do anything but remove the driveshaft...... for half price, I woulda been stupid to NOT load those up.

Unfortunately, some of those MJ parts and Flores' seats were found at the other PNS at Colfax/Tower...... and they were not having a half-price day.... But I DID make $30 renting my tools out...... :D

Maybe that's what I should do...... Set up tool rental trailers at all the you pull/pay lots........

Ya know... that's actually a damn good idea Troy. I bet if you worked out some kind of split profit thing with the yard they'd be happy to have it.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Speaking of pick and pulls. Im in desperate need of a power steering pump resivoir from....
JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE 2002
JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LAREDO (2001 - 2004)
JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LIMITED (2001 - 2004)
JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE OVERLAND (2002 - 2004)
JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE SPECIAL EDITION 2004

with the 4.7 liter engine. trying to pull by box today the plastic cracked when trying to free the hose from the rear of the resivoir.

I dont need the pump its self just the resivoir. this would be a huge help guys. ill be in town the 13 so i could meet up then to pay you for it.

also here in the local jy they have a over head console in a grand i could pull and deliver for someone if they want it.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Ben,
You should have told us. That is what we replaced at SlickRock in Moab. We Returned ours so I cant offer it to you.

The Grand Cherokee pump thing didnt work out for us.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

i just did it today trying to get the damn thing apart lol. ran around town trying to find one at the local places. turns out the guy who built it did the upgrade with the larger pump and such from the grand. i was trying to figure out why my pump and pully mached yours but no one elses. well now i know why. one more thing to add to the future fix it list.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

On the grand Cherokee pump of unknown history there was a composite one. We replace it with another composite in Moab. I have the original metal one right here though.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

ok guess he knew better than to not swap the pullies. can you recall what you had to look for when swapping the pumps? the main thing i recal was that the mounting holes were not threaded any thing else i might be able to double check on?

Re: The Colorado BS thread

ok thanks to matts help we have figured out i dont need the grand resiviour...:o i think ill just go and buy a new pump and resiviour and keep this pump as a spare. unless someone has a line on a cheap 4.7 pump and resiviour.

Anybody know how to set up a will? I ship out soon and with a direct combat MOS I don't think it'd be wise to go without one.
