Colorado B/S Thread

Re: The Colorado BS thread

MASSIVE SCORE!!!

So one of our Rubber Reclamation clients called me up about a month ago and informed me that they're closing down the plant on 9/1 and that I had first dibs on anything I wanted in the shop at liquidated prices.

Got a 30-Ton Carolina press for $50.00!!! It's completely covered in rubber dust so once I spray it down it's going to be mint. Stoked

That's a 30 tonner? Shit, I just built a 12 ton that's probably heavier structurally than that thing. I guess I should shop for an upgraded ram :eyes:

I have ~$130 into materials, not counting the 12 ton bottle jack I had around to change tires on the 5 ton and work on the house.

I was really surprised that it wasn't super heavy. I mean, it's still about 250-300lbs, but I would've guess that it'd be heavier than that.

We got hammered!

Of course, I just had a new roof put on the cottage. Should be fine, it didn't leak, and the hail never got very big. :)

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I feel like I'm having a bad dream where you're trying to get somewhere but can't seem to get there...in this case the last couple weekends trying to manage to get to BuenaVista I've had vehicle issues every attempt , and this past Sunday I made it as far as Shawnee when my xj died made a backfire and coasted to a stop (no shoulder blocking us 285) well after towing to a safe spot with Chinakee's help we made a parts run for a couple items CPS and cam shaft sensorb ( coil was only 500 miles old) and still no starts , so ends up on Chinakee's trailer back to the house , and next day I play around with it and there is no audible sound of the injectors clicking on when ignition turned on , and I can't pull codes with key trick , so I put on the 97 ecu I had and still no start , so I crank it and have voltage at plug to the coil but no output to distributor , So i go buy a coil , which the onre on the Jeep is almost new , and with the 97 ECU still plugged in it fired up , so thinking it was the coil I plug in the 99 ecu again and NO start , so I put 97 back on and boom starts , and I can pull codes again , so a fried computer and a couple other parts that are still basicly new that quit , and no trip to BV Sunday...I'm almost afraid to head that way again .

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I just got home from selling the Audi, I am actually more than just a little sad now. I owned that car longer than any other car and it will be missed. On the other hand..... time to order more shite for the JK!!! :D

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Just an update on the smoker: IT'S DONE!!!

I wanted to get finished as fast as I could, so I didn't take a lot of build pictures. Got the reverse-flow plate installed, grates built, smoke stack welded, built the damper, drilled and welded a grease drip pipe, built the handles, stripped and painted.

It was fun...I even incorporated some extra DOM pipe I had laying around, so my Jeep will always live on. lol

And Painted....Let's eat!
