Colorado B/S Thread

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Thinking about growing a mustache. A handlebar mustache.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Nice. It'll tickle the lady...

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Also might have the added bonus of getting me out of those horrid touristy photos where they pose you in all kinds of dumbass positions on the beaches of Mexico when we go soon. I've often mocked the sackless men who are forced by their spouses to partake in those sessions on the beach while I scratch myself and drink yet another cervesa which was delivered to me upon my request. I can hear her now, "Well we are NOT getting our pictures taken with thing on your upper lip." Me: "Uno cervesa por favor. Rapido!!"

Re: The Colorado BS thread

On the other hand...she surprised me and booked me an 8 hour day of fly casting to big ass Tarpon on a flats boat in the Mangroves. Fine. I'll just pose in my swimsuit. A speedo. I'll be sure to post the pics when we get back for all you turds to oogle over.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Tank slap is one of the worst and most helpless feelings in the world...I have fake front teeth because of it!

Re: The Colorado BS thread

(more rider experience would've helped here)
No one can help you with experience other than getting out and riding, but this video is VERY good, and I highly recommend watching it.

Ride safe out there. Wear your gear, and remember no one can see you.

Plus I would proabably run over my o2 hose .
Open your mouth farther, and go faster. No need for the o2 tank:thumbup:

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Jim, the F650GS actually has a really low seat height for a Dual Sport/Adventure Bike. You can adjust it all the way down to 30 or 31 inches I believe.

I talked to STM Suspensions up in FoCo and he'll be lowering my bike 2.5" for me, plus tuning it for what my plans are. 80% Street/Highway and 20% Maintained Dirt Roads. After that its going to Elite Motorsports in Loveland and getting reshod with Pirelli Scorpion Dual Sport tires that are a good 70/30 Street/Dirt tire with a lot of good reviews.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I just took it square in the turd cutter at the Subaru dealer. $42 for a thermostat.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I'm betting there was not any lube as well.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Negative on both. These funky overheating issues I've had though appear to be fairly common with Subarus and non-OEM thermostats. I'll be anxious to see what is in the car in just a bit here. I'll admit though, the one I got is HUGE.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

That's insane. My motor now has 60,000 on it. I am really hoping these sporadic overheating issues are not because of bad head gaskets. I've now ruled out faulty gauge, sensor, or wiring and now thermostat (trying to go in order of $$). Let's see if it does it again and then I'll look at rad and water pump.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Yeah I don't get it.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

C'mon River! Overheating. Fishing for answers. Coolant...Yucka yucka???

I don't know. Work is slow and I'm bored as Hell...

Shoop fail :badpc:

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Its a Subaru, of course it needs headgaskets. Thats part of the 5,000 mile oil change service on those boxer engines.
