collection of jeep stuff(build/blog)

Boxed in Passenger UCA finally. Took about 20 mins to do.
Also cranked down the D pillar portion of the cage and drilled some more holes in the roof. .. snagged some wires and had to solder those up :dunce: that made me happy..
It now sits perfectly in line with the drip rail :)

looking good.

How about I trade you my project MJ with no powertrain and my donor XJ for your unmolested 2dr? You'll have to pick them up tho. haha.

New driveshafts came in the other day. 225$ a pop. New spicers greasable cardan ball 7" slip .120 x 2" DOM. No vibes worked perfect highly recommend Tatton drivelines! Took a week to get them.

Couple questions.
my cruise has stopped setting. the light will come on but won't set at speed. I've looked over the vac lines Thoroughly and found nothing. Anybody have some opinions?
also who runs a PS cooler? What one and where did you mount it?

Check, test and adjust or replace your brake switch. Also, clock spring can affect cruise function as well I believe.

I do not have a PS cooler yet, but I will be using a small plate style cooler similar to my trans cooler. The plate style coolers are supposed to be more efficient than the tube style, but for PS I guess it is not as big of a deal as trans or other.

those DS look amazing.
Ill have to do that next time...

Really excited for the con this weekend have about 7-10 rigs going. Gonna be just Mike and I wheeling in to spider maybe buck on Friday and meeting the rest that are wheeling in that night.

There was a good thread on it in jeep speed. Search there and look for Cal and Goatman input.

Basics I picked up were to have a small airgap for bump, read a few inches. Slide a tube of some sort in there for a hard stop and drill holes in it if you need to sofen it up

Anybody able to help and show me how to set up some gears in my Dana 30 before Reno?
I'd definitely compensate with whatever. Money, coffee, jeep stuff Beer etc

I'll get pics up from Rubicon soon.

Might even need to get new bearings in the 8.25 the pinion is leaking pretty good and has a nice howl at 45-55 and goes away when I let off the throttle

yeah, that howling is not the bearings my friend.

Sounds like backlash/the gears themselves to me.

If you do the 8.25, throw the crush sleeve that comes with an install kit in the trash, and go buy one at the dealer.

The aftermarket 8.25 crush sleeves keep crushing slowly over time, and eventually lead to howling gears, and then your rear end locks up on the highway.

That does NOT sound fun. I'd take your word on that. Wouldn't want to find out if it's true on my own.
