collection of jeep stuff(build/blog)

but was struggling to get it in... Story of my life...

this *****

I really like the halo man. mine's going to be almost identical, but I always wondered for something such as your rear bars if it's stronger to go to the node where the roof rail meets the cross bar, or to where you put it meeting the interior bar.

I figure it would be better to go out to the roof slider and gusset back to the interior bar. that would increase the size/angle of the triangle and add strength to an area you're more likely to hit. it's almost impossible to have a 100% pure structural cage on a full body rig, and I'm also sure that either way is plenty strong. I'm just throwing ideas for when I eventually get around to doing mine. thoughts?

I'm definitely splitting hairs here

Ya you know what happened is I notched the front a to b triangles too short. So I used them on the c to b. The a to b pillars hit both the windshield spreader and the a pillar. The c to b are really close to where the interior bar will come through the roof. I may have compromised but I think it should work out just fine. I'm no engineer lol

As far as c pillar goes I'll also be adding short pieces through the plastic interior onto my quarter armor. At the b c and d pillars. Should really tie everything in nicely and stiffen up my quarter armor

worked a couple hours today. Got b pillars bent and in and the c pillar. Need to sheer some plates and drill some holes.
pretty bummed I actually set the b pillar back a couple inches too far. Looks like jeep will be a 2 seater from now on. That's okay with me though. Crappy pics but you get the idea.

It's called keystone coffee. Been in San Jose since 1867 and I am fourth generation.

Nice, I've heard of you guys, all family owned if I recall which is awesome. If you'll be at SCAA or NAMA at all let me know, I'll be out there.

Back on topic, cage looks great. This makes me want to get on a welder and see what I can do. It's been a while.

What was your plan to make the back seat accesable? Just squeeze threw on the passenger side? Why do you think you still couldn't get back there?

Interior for the most part is done. Need to weld it all up once I paint and get the rooftop and front exo back on. Also going to add some short bars from the C and D pillars to the quarter armor. The roof and front is all welded up just need to find some time this week to drag it over the hill to our paint booth at work. Color matching white with black interior and some black accents. Should look really nice when it's done. I'm getting excited the hard work is over... Now if my friggin tcase would show up. FedEx hasn't found it yet..
