Yup, you understand me correctly.It's the small Jimmy with the FI 4.3. The 4L60 and 231 are the stock units. He was contemplating running the V8 with a propane conversion, but so far this thing is being built with almost no budget.
The site I read about 350 vs 250 and D60 vs D50 did pertain more to the 2000+ trucks. His axles came from a 90's model.
Then it is a D50.
IIRC it was used in 99 - 04 Ford trucks. F250 and F350's with single rear wheels. Duallys for the F350 got the D60. In 05 Ford got its brain and balls back and put D60's in all the f350's, IIRC f250's too.
