Chevy t-case, needs ID

Yup, you understand me correctly. :D It's the small Jimmy with the FI 4.3. The 4L60 and 231 are the stock units. He was contemplating running the V8 with a propane conversion, but so far this thing is being built with almost no budget.

The site I read about 350 vs 250 and D60 vs D50 did pertain more to the 2000+ trucks. His axles came from a 90's model.

Then it is a D50.

IIRC it was used in 99 - 04 Ford trucks. F250 and F350's with single rear wheels. Duallys for the F350 got the D60. In 05 Ford got its brain and balls back and put D60's in all the f350's, IIRC f250's too.

General Specifications
Ring gear measures 9.0".
30 Spline Axle shafts.
Gear Ratios: 3.55:1 - 5.38:1
No carrier breaks
Pinion shaft diameter: 1.375"
Pinion shaft splines: 26
Axle shaft diameter: 1.21"
Axle spline diameter: 1.31"

Turns out the D50 is likely a TTB and he's already done the work to get the other axles, 205 and TH350 in. I think he's gonna figure out how to get the 4.3 to bolt up, shouldn't be too hard.

I'm probably gonna buy them off him since he already paid. Only $100 for a D60 rear. I'll probably sell them anyways to fund a new front end for my XJ. :D

Yea they did have the TTB D50 in the 80's and 90's.

This is the rig it's going in. It's on 39.5s right now, but will settle a couple inches and be put on 37s.

Currently in a 77ish K20, not sure if it's original. EDIT: it is a part time case. /EDIT It will be going in a 91ish S15 Jimmy. Along with the 10 bolt front and 12 bolt rear axles, 39.5s, and leaf packs with a couple leafs removed.

In order to get it an ID you will need it's birth certificate. Just make an appointment at the DMV (or go in and wait in line) and pay the fee for the ID and it will be set.
