Anyone wiling to trade my suber box 1 for a super box 2?

Or $ 350 cash.....

Rebuilt by manufacturer. Runs great. Like brand new. My cherokee is just my daily driver and it makes it too squirly.
Only test driven it a couple times.... if you have any questions let me know.

Steering box only made for offroad use. Mainly for buggys or trailerd rigs.Sort of dangerous on the free way. They ce out with a 2 that's made for the daily driver but you still get the nice ride out come when wheelinf

Whats special about it to be dangerous on the freeway? Its the stock ratio, still mechanical..

Cal, I thought the 1 was a 'fast' ratio?

I thought stock was 12.7:1?

Well, even if 12.7 is stock, thats still a faster ratio than the 14.0:1

Just looked it up. Stock is 13:1-16:1 variable ratio. It was listed as 14 in my notes.

So I guess this could be a little bit 'fast ratio', although most fast ratio boxes are down in the 12 range.

OP mentioned it was squirrelly on the freeway. Must feel faster than stock. Or it fixed too much slop in his steering! That is probably what would happen to me...

I believe this is a constant ratio box...like my Yj box. Because its constant it feels iffy at highway speeds, but better wheeling and at mild speeds. However wih my new inverted t it should feel similar to stock because the tie rod roll. I believe that's why yjs had a constant box from the factory, because they had the inverted t setup stock.
Ill be going to a Durango box if it doesn't feel better, because yes it does feel iffy at highway speeds with the constant box.

This^ its definatly a bit squirly on the free way... I dont think it helps that I dont my disconnects hooked up.... never put them back on once I got the lift. I like body roll ;-)
