cuz i wanted different ideas and suggestions but i know a guy here who is running the 4bt cummins in his cherokee and its pretty sweet i went and checked it out about two hours ago and thats why i just to decided to go with that

the 4BT cummins motor is light bro

Cummins 4BT is 785 lbs, the 4.0 is 515 lbs. So, basically you're adding 270 lbs to the nose. The torque numbers are nice though...

Honestly only engine i've ever dreamed of having in my jeeps are Ls1's with a simple 5 speed. mixed with a lil front end leaf spring conversion to a dual strong rack and pinion. disk brakes all around, and if your feeling like your up too it rear stear. have it on my 85 took a mind of a mad man but it can be done. only prob is dont build it tall...
