Sounds good to me, just don't go crazy and buy too much. :)

Not sure about the whole BBQ thing. Anybody got a small one to bring along for the day just in case?

Charcoal and a small BBQ if you got one would be great.
No. I was thinking whether it made any sense to buy something heatable.
I can buy charcoal on my way, should I ?

I am also thinking salads and fruits.

Sounds great to me.

I'm leaving in a few mins, see you guys at the park!

I don't have any real action shots cause I was busy buying an alternator for my junk since mine decided to seize up just as we were about to head out for the first run. Here's what my alternator looked like when I pulled it out.

Who needs bearings anyways?

I'm just glad my Jeep made it there and didn't break down somewhere along the miles and miles of twisties I drove through coming from San Jose over Mt Hamilton. No cell phone signal... saw 1 other vehicle on the trip over.... Yeah that could have been bad.

Here's my pics.... Pretty much just group shot's :(

What a great day out on the trail. the rain let up long onough for us to have a good day on the trail. We had a total of 9 rigs show for the run today. The creek trail was more a river than a creek. That is the most water I have ever seen running through the canyon.

We met up in the morning at the park entrance

Right off the bat, Travis had problems with his alternator. After a checkout by the group and a few phone calls later he would be taken care of by a good friend of his.

The creek had lots of water today.

Joe couldn't make it past the gatekeeper section. Close, but it was just too wet today.

88flexj and I both were finally able to find the line over this obstacle. My first time getting over it, I had been denied several times before.

We went and goofed off a little bit more after lunch. Well, unfortunately when at the top of the hills I once again saw the life flight helicopter land and take away somebody who got injured. I never found out what happend, but I really would like to go wheeling without something like that happening. :( (3 out of the last 3 runs)

I just want to say thanks to all who came along today. It was nice to meet some newer member's of our chapter. And special thanks to Jay for helping with the BBQ and to those who brought food for the group today. Hope to see you all on the trail soon.

Bryan C.

There was a street bike layed down about two miles east of the park. He looked like he was hurt pretty bad. Rescue crews were on the way. Frank Rains was probably the closest landing pad. Hopefully he's alright.

On a lighter note... It was a great time wheelin with you guys and gals again. I am looking forward to the next run.

Thanks a lot Bryan for putting this together, it was great to meet everybody and put faces behind names and avatars!
Mégan, Emily and I had a great time, this was the first time I’ve ever been out with my jeep and I am sooo hooked! It was great to meet everybody, great bunch on people!

If is the reason for why NAXJA exists, great people & fun wheelin, then where's the life membership form!

What he said...:)

Thanks again Bryan for putting it together. I was dissapointed I had to winch more than 3 times though..... I need a lift *cough cough*

I have photos, but have no clue when I will get them up. Thanks to those who showed up. Those who decided not to come, missed out on an excelent day.

Matt

I appreciate you guys waitin to make sure my Jeep and I were taken care of. Also for checking on my g/f as I was gone fetching the alternator, riding in my friends 2 seater..... and for helping out with a lil wrenchin and pointin. Thanks guys..... and all this happened with my name in black *hangs head*. I'll pay my dues soon and become a member. Money is a lil tight right now.

Bryan, thank you for organizing it.
I had a great time and want to thank everybody for making such a good company.

I've got some pictures posted on a separate page:
http://www.upload2.net/image_gallery/15846/

Trees give way too much details for JPEG to pack it efficiently.
Here are my comments for some of the pictures:
1. This ship has run aground.
2. Turning back.
3. The reason for Matt to get stranded again and again was abvious - he was carrying extra weight on his fender.
4. Brian, toy cars attached to a string are for kids !
6. Normal heros always find a detour.
7. Pulling season.
8. A couple of hundreds years ago people used to pull their ships by straps. Some still do.

It turns out the only video I got is of Bryan getting over stones, I will publish it in a while.

I'd say I've got enough fun.

Andrey

You've just described my weekend.

Plus being on flood watch.

Glad everyone had a good time.
