May I suggest a donation to CORVA Legal Fund? CORVA is the most aggressive organization in California; we are involved in the Lawsuit resulting from the Stanislaus NF and Plumas NF Travel Management Plan. We have a Lawyer working on the State Water Resources Control Board plan for the National Forest (this is a biggie it will affect every NF in California). The BOD is feed up with losing our land and we will fight back, but we need more members, Business members and donations to our legal fund.
Here’s a short list of what we have been doing in 2011
CORVA Accomplishments - October 2011
CORVA Comments Project: pioneering educational program for off-road enthusiasts
Special Recreation Permit Process: 2 board members on subcommittee
Recreational Access Coalition Council: mapping desert uses, CORVA BOD member chair of committee
Forest Service LEO Task Force: eliminating bias against OHV enthusiast in national forests
Vote Smart! Voter Education Guide: geared towards off-road enthusiasts
OHV Advocate Day in Sacramento: "Information and Access 411" for politicians
Leadership meetings throughout California joining on-the-ground enthusiasts and politicians
Pursuing legal action with the Sierra Access Coalition and Butte County against the Forest Service
Organized Off-Road Coalition working together to counter efforts by the State Water Resources Control Board to restrict access in the 17 forests in California to OHV access
Working to protect access to Rubicon, snowmobile and important OHV areas in WEMO
Working with other groups to Save Johnson Valley
Participation in snowmobile access group to working to form collaborative group to retain access to Lake Tahoe Basin area
