Chapter Donation

I've been out of the loop working for the past couple of years. We use to donate some money to the FOR or FOF every year. Are we still doing that?

National will match our donation: http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1073059

I recently had a dumbass for sale thread from parting out my jeep, where I wanted to donate 10% of the proceeds to the chapter. Its around $300 at this point, and I still need to deliver on a couple of the items. So it will likely be around $400 after its all said and done. This could equal a $800 donation to a good land use cause.

Can we throw this money in that pot and get the ball rolling on a donation to a good nonprof like the ones mentioned above???

Anybody else want to pitch into the pot?

I could give a 100, tell me how.

What's with the "parting my jeep" part ?

Yessir! We still do regular donations to groups like FoF.

We'll likely (especially with your contribution!) make a donation before the end of the year to take advantage of the match from National. I was watching that thread you linked, wondering if they were going to increase the cap.

Donations to the chapter can be made to our Treasurer, which is SharkXJ (Mark).

Cool...I shot Mark a PM a few weeks ago, but never heard back. I'll try again.

Andre, I'll post up on how to get money to Mark.

So between the both of us, we'll be able to contribute $1,000 for the FOF or FOR or whatever organization the BOD deems appropriate.

(Edit: I guess this would effectively cap the National Match at $500)

Hey guys - REALLY SORRY for being MIA. Life has thrown me some f'd up curve balls the last couple of months. I will stay on top of this now that I know about it :-)

My PayPal Address is [email protected]. Send me the $$$ and I will keep track of it and let ya'all know where we are at every couple of days.

Sweet! Thanks Mark!

Ben sent me his money the other day so it wouldn't burn a hole in his pocket, so if it's easier for anybody else to give their donations to me, I'm happy to take them! PayPal might as well go to Mark, but cash or checks can come to me via snail mail or personal delivery. Also, if you have Wells Fargo, you can send me money instantly with no fees/charges.

Ben sent an incredibly generous $400! If you consider that it will be matched, dollar for dollar, by National, that means that he is responsible for some lucky cause getting $800 toward keeping our trails open!

We all know that not everyone is in a position to be able to make a large donation right now! It's almost Christmas, the economy sucks, and there are many many worthy causes that may already be getting your spare cash, but if all you can contribute is 5 bucks, don't be shy! You don't have to post up here either.

Consider this, raising awareness about these issues and the organizations that fight for our side is the first step in every battle! $5 could be all it takes to print another 500 fliers, which may get 50 new donors! Small amounts can have a ripple effect!

OK, sorry for the long-winded post! Thanks for your support!
Billy
