i like this one! how about moving the NWC writing over a little and making that mountain a little less wide, by cutting it in half?

I refuse to clean that one up. Too much work. Follow Ecksjay's link to get gimp, or get photoshop or fireworks. It has pottential though, but the monster truck is a little over the top. For those of you that are pulling stuff off the web to use in the logos, should copy rights be a concern?

It's a concept - simple as that.

As far as copyright goes - Mt Rainier is from a drawing for the USGS from somewhere in the 1950s...I don't think we will have an issue with it. The "Monster Truck"? It was on a "public forum" no mention of copyrights anywhere.

The "Monster Truck" did EXACTLY what I wanted it to...It is (indeed) a little over the top, but aren't we all? If someone can find a decent illustrative (drawing) of an XJ, (more than just the grill) I think it would identify the XJ a little better to the general public. Some people don't even know what an XJ is - even some owners!

As I said above - it's a concept...I wasn't aware we were submitting "Final versions" yet and I CAN do some cleanup here - or - should I just press DELETE now?

Jesus, calm down. I didn't mean anything bad by "over the top" and as far as me stating that people need to get away from paint, I stand by it. I don't understand how people can work with it. You have no controll and very few tools and nothing looks good when you are done. Using a better program saves you time. Thats just my oppinion. My post was not a slam against you or your logo I was just stating that it's really rough, and that you can get a better program for FREE if you follow the link Ecksjay posted a while ago. As for the copyright issue I was just curious, i don't want to worry about someone seeing a sticker and freaking out because their drawing is on it. And there is a copyright sign at the bottom of almost every forum, I don't know if that applies to posted materials or just logos and such. I thought it was a decent question to ask but it wasn't nescesarily directed just to you and I wasn't trying to put you on the defensive.

I think that is cool. I think it could do with a couple of changed but I like concept and how different it is from the others.

No matter what program people use or what capability they have for doing these concept, the most important idea at the moment is to get concepts and idea out to others so that all of us can generate as many ideas as possible and make a educated decision on what we like and dislike the most.

All of the clean up and minor changes can be made once we get down to the few we really like to decide between.

Most of us have very very little time to come up with these drawings to present to others.

Again, I wasn't being hostile. I do have a lot of time on my hands because of my winter break. I think the writing needs to be more dominant than the mountain on that last one and from the looks of it paint was a factor in the writing being pasted on the edges.:gag: I'm done commenting on software now.

I'm reworking the Mt. Rainier decal. I don't know WHAT happened to the postings here...I guess it wasn't well received? (Kidding!)...

Going to stick with the Mt. Rainier look 'cause most of the folks from the northwest can identify with it (am I right?). I went with the W-I-D-E look thinking "bumper sticker" (and HDTV ...ha!...).

I like Mt. St. Helens better...you can put a jeep in the hole on the North face, and have a steam plume in the back !!
