Super basic question. After some body work, the body shop removed a decal (Sport on the side), which was perfectly good, and of course the one from the damaged side of the vehicle. I had scanned and vectorized the logo when I last needed work since I could only find one remaining OEM decal.

Question is simply does anyone know of or how to find (right search terms?) a place that will produce a good transfer cut decal with no borders in the color I'd already sampled. Seems there are a ton of crap decal places that let you pick from some basic colors with borders etc that won't mimic the original. This is almost certainly because I don't know the vehicle graphics space.

You might try reaching out to JC93XJ.

Decals may not be his thing, but I think he is at least in the graphics business and might be able to point you in the right direction.

I would think anybody that does car wraps would be a great source.

The problem I'm having is getting the right color. Vinyl you have to pick from the colors they have, otherwise you can get it printed and cut but it's the wrong material for paint apparently. I at least do have vector, made it myself from a photo.

Yeah, it's just gonna be a matter of finding a place with a color close to what you have.
Maybe look online. Get some samples.
Would advise against printing it. It will not look right at all.
The original was vinyl.

if you have a sample or know where to get the correct color, then you could find someone local to you (or someone's wife) that has a crickut machine and could cut it out for you.

Or buy a used one on Marketplace, cut what you need, and resell
