Central Indiana Flooding

Wow nice pics of some bad flooding...I'm from Cincinnati but was out in the Batesville/Oldenburg area(right along 74 maybe 20 minutes from Greensburg) on Sat. and it flooded there, but nothing like these other areas. We got a brief shower here in Cincy, guess most of it headed just north of us. The power of water is really amazing

man you would have thought someone attacked Atterbury or something it was crazy. I was sitting outside my apt(which was not affected). All i heard were sirens and Choppers everywhere. It was unreal. Know a few people who lost most of thier stuff. I have a buddy who had not gotten his home owners insurance. So it comes out of his pocket. Poor guy doesn't deserve that. Has to replace all his carpeting and luckily thats all.

When I get home this morning I'll post up some pics from Wisc Dells. We picked an interesting time to go I guess..... Some are speculating getting Lake Delton back this summer still - 2 hrs to drain a 270 acre lake - pretty impressive. Sucks for those home owners since the insurance won't cover a thing.

More from Westport, IL area. These aren't mine, my wife's coworker took them.

Well here is Lake Delton sunday evening - wish we would have taken more pics of it flooding, but we didn't think much of it at the time.

This is where the land erroded and took the houses out. Approx 200 yards wide, at least 20' deep and 700 yards long. Took out a county road, and washed away 3 homes (have heard two different numbers on them), and the two homes left partially on the bank

FEMA and the DNR thought this spill way was the next to fail - before we got there the water was up to the upper handrail.

got a short video of some of the flooding. If you are from or are in columbus alot. This is by dairy queen on National

At least they let you in the water. Round here that will get you arrested. It is quite a bit shallower in Columbus though, we need boats to get around.

Yeah and i wasn't the one driving like an idiot. Some jackass in a Chevy came flying through it and got water all over me. I had the windows down:banghead:

You will be happy to know the Matrinsville NAPA survived.. Oriley's and Autozone had 2' of water inside store.

Nice Andy. Thats the kind of news that I like to hear. I'll be working there from 8:00 am until 2:30 on Saturday. Should be a good time.

Here is live news footage of Lake Delton draining.

We are going out today, I will take pics and post them later.

We are OK here, but almost every road is closed.

With the three rivers converging here, all of them coming out of Wisconsin, it will get a lot worse here early next week.

This house is three blocks from the river.

This is the park where we usually put our boat in, but the river is 1/2 mile from where we were.
That is a parking lot and concession stands back to the trees.

This is the Rock River from the Harlem Road Bridge.
We are headed to Beloit to get more pics.

It looked like IA got hit bad over the weekend. Since it was hot and dry in Moab, I didn't bother checking the weather back home. I guess I80 was closed for a while, and the Snake River overflowed it's banks all over the place. Nasty.

Say...
Our Club is headed to the Badlands this weekend.
Any road concerns? I39/ I74/ Hwy 41 ?

I am pretty sure Indiana is all clear. Most of the flooding was from Franklin south
