Camping second week in august.. Any suggestions on a site?

Hey guys, any suggestions on a camp site that isnt more than say two-3 hours from up here in the Northern suburbs and has a swimmable lake? I have been checking out google spots etc but oddly enough they dont match the criteria. The big three are 1) camping ( tent style) 2) alcohol is allowed ( so eliminates state parks) 3) a swimable lake on premise would be preferred.

About 30 miles north of milwaukee you've got Mauthie Lake and Long Lake. You can have alcohol as long as you're 21. They both have a few sites that have a little semi-private lake access. The lakes are pretty weedy but swimmable. At Mauthie you can rent a canoe or paddle boat for a few dollars from a local store who keeps them by the boat launch. There are a bunch of nice mountian bike trails hidden around there too. If you come up this way you might even be able to catch a good baseball game http://dnr.wi.gov/org/land/parks/specific/kmn/camping.html

If you decide to come up this way I can recomend a bar about 5 miles away that has an awesome BLT with 1lbs of bacon on it

Here's a link to Winnebago County campsites. Alcohol is allowed, though they don't want you stumbling around drunk. I'd recommend Sugar River.
