Yep folks, another cage build in the works. Going to do go a different direction though.

Started out by cutting out the rockers and reinforcing the corners of the floor with some 1x1 angle.

I didn't want to cut the doors and have to deal with patching them up so I trimmed as high as I could go with the doors remaining intact.

Some 2x 6 x.188 wall tubing cut to size and primed.

Mocking up the passenger side.

Driver side welded in. I welded the backside of the rocker to the angle iron as well.

Passenger side welded in and doors back on.

The doors just barely clear.

I like it! Hint if u want to you should install a port for oba now if they aren't welded all the way in, makes it easier if u want them as tanks. Up to you but looks good man!

Got started on the actual cagework last Saturday. Jes came by and lent a hand, kept me from ruining a bunch a tubing. We got the B boop bent up, turned out pretty well.

I spent some time on Sunday working on the A-pillars trying to get them to fit the contour of the interior.

That where it's at right now.

looks like you have a good start! Will the glove box still be able to open?

a little late now, but my biggest regret with my rockers is that I didn't trim the doors.

Its looking really good Lou. Cant wait to see it finished.

yeah so whats the plan with the glove box? no more glove storage ?

Cut the door . So you can open it. Then fiberglass up a side for the new shorter glovebox

You could always cut the glove box door short of the pillar, and glue the part behind the bar down. Simple, and depending on your cut, clean.

looks awesome man
