buy axle?

I went to the local pick-n-pull and found a d44 front axle, it is high pinion, welded on c-clamp thing, 64"wms to wms, drum brakes. It is out of a 73' ford p/u. should I buy it for $150?

Depends on what you plan to do with it. How are you building your rig? What bolt pattern, knuckle, etc. If you'd be putting Chevy knuckles on it, go for it.
