Bumpers, Rock Rails, and Paint OH MY!!!

So I got Billy over at www.otrfabwerks.com to hook up my Jeep with some tuuuuube. I'm stoked.

I also decided to paint my fenders flat black for the time being as well as get some paint on the rock rails. More painting next week

As you can see, he cut into the rocker panels to do the rock rails... mine were dented so this is perfect! They came out awesome!

Thanks dude. I'm not ready for shocks through the floor quite yet, let me get the rest of the lift on and re-coupe some of this money that seems to be flying out faster than it's coming in! :laugh:

I have a question on your fenders, although you probably posted info in a former post but I'll be danged if I can't find it. Did you fab them or buy them? If bought, from where? Are they metal or glass? They look like a very clean way to run larger tires without hacking up the wheel opening.

Removed the rocker panel, welded to the body, and stitch welded to the pinch seam. Plenty strong enough.

Thanks for the compliments on the bumpers. As for the fenders, they're Glassworks 4.5" flare, ran around $400 for the set, and they're glass. Now, there are pro's and cons, a few being; The fitment was horrible when I first got them, so it's something you're going to have to work with, however Glassworks took care of me and reworked them for me. Whether or not the next set he makes will be like that I don't know.

Hanneman also makes some that follow the body lines, other than their huge flat tops. They're a 3" flare I think.

Thats gonna be a negative, especially with the extra leverage that outer tube will put on them, give it some time and they will start to move.

Someone should tell the other 50+ people that I've seen do this then lol. I seriously don't think it'll be a problem. Although I see what you're saying about the added leverage from the bar, I won't be dropping down on it THAT hard THAT often. I don't wheel that big.

If it does however, I'll get it fixed... And you can say I told you so. Besides, keep in mind I live in California. No rusty rockers here!

I dented the outer tube on my AJs 3/16" Superrails this weekend and I don't wheel that big. Just came down that hard a rock.
