Building up my garage...

So I went to HF the other day and bought a 5.5hp w/ 25g tank, I know it's not the best but it'll do for now. Bought a 7000# floor jack and trying to aquire tools here and there. I've never welded and the closest I've come is soldering. I'll either get good at it or die trying one or the other. I have been looking around on here and Pirate and settled on a Millermatic 180 Auto-Set. Anybody know a place to get one for a good deal? I checked online and found Amazon has them for $890ish. Any other places to look? I'm not a fan of ebay since I have problems trusting people these days. Thanks in advance.

I bought a Millermatic 210 with autoset off ebay from Indiana Oxygen beginning of this year. Shipped the next day and came with a cart for just under $1100. I would definitely recommend them.

We have a Hobart 140, got it last Christmas for $479 at Tractor Supply, with gauges and helmet. It's sitting on a Harbor Freight cart, under $50. Got it mostly for sheetmetal, for patch and replacement panels. The 'heaviest' thing I've done so far is filling in the gouges on the knuckles, where the front pads chew holes in the mounting surfaces. Did a great job. My son and I went to courses the local vo-tec was running at night. Welding class and collision/body repair. Got a great head-start restoring my '92.
