Building a bumper...

Hey! i almost forgot about ya after my vacation...When will there be a front humper with my name on it?

LOL ok ya I will get to work. You want your whole carrier out of round tube right. Last 3 weeks I have had family visiting. So I have been a slacker.

Look at the pic. The tabs are in line with frame ties. That is why they are where they are. In4aride pull 3/4 Chevy out of the ditch the other day with his. So I am guessing they must be strong enough. Full size Chevy 3-4 tons.
sad i couldnt get the neon out...stupid cars with no rear points....

i understand that, but am curious if you slotted the bumper and ran the d-ring mount all the way to the frame side mounts. Did you weld them, did you bolt them?

I know on the outside face, they're welded but in my research for my own bumper build hasn't helped. Cause i'm sure you didn't just weld the D ring mounts to the face of your bumper.

It is welded both sides.
 
Non winch front bumper jig done. I might try it on my Jeep it is nice and small. I will see if I can get one made tonight if the boss lets me.
