Did you put the manifolds on outside of the engine bay or inside? Sounds like a manifold leak...hard to hear on the phone though.

I need to check the intake manifold for leaks, the high idle should be easy to figure out. It runs, thats what is important right now.

funny story, Dylan connected the battery and we heard a strange noise, the front windshield wipers were on. We had a chuckle cuz it made us look at each other with a wtf look on our faces.
after those were off, and we actually got to the point of making a start attempt, we reconnected the battery and heard a weird noise from the rear, the rear wiper was on, and it worked!! bonus.

Nothing pic worthy, but I got a lot of little things done today. Rear shocks, drive shafts, exhaust back past the crossmember, blah, blah, blah.
Next week I need to bleed the brakes, weld up a muffler, swap intake, extend my o2 sensor wires and nut the jeep before its first trip out of the garage in the past 4 months.
Mid stiffies and rock rails should be the frosting along with a front end alignment.
The light is getting bright.
