Buddy is stuck! Help!

I'm still looking at just cutting out the rockers and welding in 2x6 tube in it's place. I don't want to give up Any of the rocker clearance i have now by adding rocker guards under them. As for the XJ's Pep, my 4.0 has 175k on it and it runs great, more low end than the 3.7L in my KJ for sure but doesn't pull as hard in midrange. Anyhow, Mud still sucks!
