I use the Masterpull one. The difference in pulling someone out with a kinetic rope versus the a strap is like night and day. With the rope, there is no hard jerk, just a nice smooth pulling motion. With a strap, you're lucky if you don't give or get whiplash if you have to use the skinny pedal at all.
The price difference isn't even worth worrying about between the two. Get a kinetic rope, you won't regret it.
