I need to pick up some tools for some work this weekend. I need to buy a nice double flare tool, and a tube bender that will do 3/16" and some random fittings.

Does anyone know any shops that might have the above?

Bah, they say they only do volkswagen junk so they dont have anything but metric

Anyone else?? i'm looking for inverted nut flare tube fittings i can pick up local

autozone local here in Yorba linda has them so they all should. Kragen also. Try any parts plus, Napa, or carquest. Vertually Any chain autoparts store..

i've been to every one of those chain stores within 10 miles. They dont have shit except bolt on neon kits and NOS Energy drinks

I have what you need, and will gladly lend it to you.. but if your set on purchasing the stuff... eastwood.com has everything you will ever want in misc tools...

Also HUB Auto supply in Costa Mesa will have all the little fittings and what not that you will need...

HAHA well I should have clearified.. EXCEPT pepboys

If you go in to vertually any auto zone and ask to see thier draws with fittings. you will find most of the basic fittings and nuts for tubing.

Autozone rents the flare tool but they do not have them on the shelf to buy. I rented one a couple of times but they were so worn out and mis-used that they were nearly worthless, I ended up buying one, I think it was from summit racing. Autozone does have the brake lines and fittings thought, but it is all behind the counter so you have to ask for it (sometimes go through 2 or 3 people before you get one that knows what you are talking about).

This looks like a slick tool, I'll probably get one before I do another brake line job.

If you are going to do a lot of this then spring for a quality flare tool. Mine is a cheaper one so I have to fight with it a little but it works just fine for my occational use.

for tubing benders try harbor frieght and for everything else look at home depot (yes thats right ) if they dont have it you might look at some heave truck shops they have all typs of fittings just tell them the type and size if they dont have it they can refer you to someone that dose here locally
