Our 'new to us' 98 (4.0 Auto) has what I would characterize as an extremely high brake pedal. High in relation to the gas pedal. While braking, it's easy to hit your right foot on the side of the pedal when transitioning from gas to brake. In fact, if you just slide across, your foot will go completely behind the brake pedal.
Is this 'normal'? Brakes work great on the vehicle and there really isn't any slack in the pedal. That is, they begin to work immediately when you step on the pedal.
This will be my son's first car and I'm a bit concerned with this ergonomic 'feature'.
Is brake pedal height adjustable at all? Thanks.
