Bought XJ - Looking For Former Owner(s)

As far as CarFax..it tells you how many owners and where it was registered by DMV but nothing else. Is that what you mean JCDP2005??

Yes you could always find out how many owners. This also would work to see if you can find out if anyone knows this jeep from that area.

That was part of my original post...I have done the CarFax and there have been 4 owners the last being in Antioch. From that I was wondering if that former owner had been part of this group and then if anyone knew him from that or from seeing the Jeep on the road.

Thanks,

Brad

Thanks!

I have been saying it in just about every one of my posts...how do I put pictures on this thing? I am not real "sharp" when it comes to computer stuff...it took me forever just to sign up on this forum!!

Thanks!

Go to photobucket.com and make an account then upload pics from your computer to that site. Once you do that, then copy the IMG code and paste it here.

Thanks! I tried it last night but I could get it to do anything. One more try...

If this comes out, my former '98 XJ in 2000

That rig likely no longer exists which is a shame

Why? Do you know something happened to it? I sold it to someone that lived in the Sierra foothills I believe. I sold it only to buy something I always wanted...a Unimog.

No regrets but I am back with the vehicle I really like.

I loved it, I was a teenager then and it was a blast growing up there. It's nothing like it was back then. Ask the old timers, it was pretty wild back in the day. I still have two of my closest friends from there, one of which is my wheeling buddy.

Yes, I came here back in the 70's, 80's and on for work and other things. And my neighbor next door has lived here 30 years and I know about how it use to be. Never thought I wanted to live here but like you say...it's not the same.

i just got my 2000 4 dr xj sport stock everything with 101K for 6000 + tax lic etc etc so just over 7000 OTD

so far i just a rear tow package, new bfg m/t km's but i'll be looking at a 3" lift safari rack and a new front bumper. its going to be my DD so nothing real fancy. but i wanted a 100% stock cherokee so it couldnt of been abused as bad as an already setup one.

sorry im not trying to thread jack just comparing prices

I heard the person you sold it to(I forgot his name) hacked it up and then later parted it out and sold it. He lived in El Dorado Hills I believe.

Congrats!

Considering mine (new white one just bought) is modified and used off road, it's in pretty good shape...I think. '98 with 84,000 is low and it shows. Some issues but nothing major. For the price I couldn't pass on it as I too wanted a stock XJ to mildly mod. But then this came along. No regrets so far.

when i got mine the shocks were pretty shot, prolly factory lol, the brake light switch went out, a tail light bulb was out... i fixed the door light pin in the door, the front diff was about 1/2 bottle low when i got it and leaked for a little while then magically stopped leaking and is holding fluid... its weird but it was really starting to nickle and dime me to death i was like jesus you cant be serious can you?!? lol.

worst part is that it came from mich. so every bolt is rusted to where it was installed so i have to buy new ones(for preventitive mait) each time i replace something.

but other then that my jeeps treating me awesome, no complaints so far, i cant wait to mod it some more
